Whatever Happened To...

Ah yes, the lovely Billie Holiday. Known for many of her sultry, soul-touching songs, especially Strange Fruit, a song based on a poem about lynching often misunderstood as a "sexy song about people swinging." Though the end of her life offered her up as a penniless, drug addicted happenstance, her beauty and grace still spill artistically through to her music and she (and her music) will truly be missed.
